This hotel was close to beaches and had easy access to walking areas for the dog. The breakfast was good and they were happy to provide poached egg rather than the fried provided. The room was clean and of good size for two and a dog. There were self catering facilities available and tea and coffee. No microwave though.

Our room was lower ground which means 'basement. Even though it was very hot weather the room got little natural light and remained cool. As it was a 'dog friendly' room there was no carpets on the floor just laminate which made it seem a little bare. The TV only got 4 terrestrial channels although there was a digital TV in lounge. A lot of noise late into the night on Saturday although other nights quiet.

The room was comfortable with good facilities. I liked being by the sea and close to where I needed to visit. The breakfast waiter was helpful and friendly.

The receptionist may have been a bit more engaging and friendly upon arrival and departure.

Easy to find. Parking was not a problem but could be if the hotel was full Plenty of hot water. Reasonable breakfast.

We stayed for 2 nights and after the first night the rooms were not serviced, We booked 2 rooms and the beds were not made in either room and clean towels not left to replace the used ones which were taken - so they did enter the room at some point. Dirty cups were left and not replcement tea / coffee offered. We did however have a bottle of milk left in our room - it was so old that the plastic bottle had expanded! Only on complaining to reception at 6pm in the evening after returning from a day out did our rooms get serviced. I would not expect this of a hotel charging over £50pppn. We would not use this hotel again. Margate is also a very run down town, not a place to revisit - lots of borded up buildings,

    the breakfast

i found that for the price i paid it was very back dated and the beds were small also the washrooms were very out of date the shower was useless

We were made to feel very welcome and the staff were extremely pleasant and helpful. Really good views overlooking the sea despite the rain

Nice and quiet. Great staff especially the night porter who was very welcoming. A good place to stay.

Lovely clean hotel, serving a very good breakfast selection. Waiting staff were very friendly and helpful.

We felt that the restaurant should open earlier for dinner, as people going to see a show at the theatre would need to eat at about 6.00 - 6.30 p.m.

The reception staff very helpful. Also the room very clean, spacious, comfortable and lovely sea view.

That we could only have a bar snack in the evening as the restaurant was full due to a party.

It was convienent at the time I needed a room. The restaurant was very modern and light, unfortunately this did not match up with the rest of the hotel

The room, including bathroom, I had (single room) was outdated and was seriously in need of a makeover. The furniture was certainly in need of replacing. The shower was not good at all. The lift in the hotel did not function properly on both nights I had booked. Clearly it had been like that for some time as commented by the cleaners during my stay - just hope guests don't have any heavy lugguage! I also think it important that others know that what the hotel may indicate may not what they have when you get there - I did not have SKY in my room's television but was available in the lounge. It would also be worth checking on breakfast times and check outs as these also seemed to differ online.

There was a cigarette butt in the toilet, not very nice at the best of times but considering it is illegal to smoke in hotels ....

    Comfortable bed.

Room was very hot (no air conditioning). TV was located poorly - blocking the way to the ensuite (easy to trip over).

Close to Old Town in Margate. Good links to Broadstairs.

Breakfast was absolutely awful. Very poor quality of food, and everything was barely warm. Very disappointing. On arrival we checked in and were given a key to our room, it hadn't been serviced since the last people had checked out. Staff were pleasant but the staff on reception were a little surly and not very welcoming.

This is a delightful small hotel with a personal touch. It's worth reserving a seafront room to take advantage of the superb, uninterrupted sea views. Faultless.

there was a function on the evening we stayed there which we were not advised about with live music until after 1 in the morning The reception staff were not particularly friendly
